At least eight people were killed and dozens of others were reported injured, while an inter-city train derailed Friday afternoon in brétigny-sur-Orge, near Paris.
The train was heading from the capital city of France with regard Limozhit in Central France.
Currently it is unclear what caused the accident happened around 17:00 EDT, but according to "Le Parisien" greatest opportunity is a human error or a failure in the braking system of the train.
French media reported that many passengers are still confined to wagons overturned and the balance of disaster is not yet clear.
Still unclear reporting of "Le Monde" say that while some survivors attempted to flee the scene quickly, had been killed as a result of the fall in contact with high voltage lines to the electrical system of the train, apparently damaged those by accident.
Dozens of firefighters and rescue forces arrived in the area, to assist the wounded.
POUZOL Michel, Member of the brétigny area made a call to the citizens of the area to be able to assist all injured
